Record Bar is a large capacity music venue with an open space and tall ceilings - a good spot for our classes to spread out and be safe in the time of Covid.
Thursday Beginner Class 5:30-6:30
This class is for people who consider themselves beginners and would like a slower paced, heavily instructed class. We will learn Celtic and Holiday tunes in this class. We will cover basic Celtic ornamentation in addition to learning the music. All fiddle players are welcome!
Thursday Intermediate/Advanced Class 7:00-8:00
In this class we will play Celtic and Holiday music in multi-part harmony. We will cover stylized playing from Ireland as well as ornamentation. Fiddle, viola, and cello players are welcome!
Hi Everyone! I have created an online version of Drunken Fiddles!
This course is divided into TWO tracks. When you sign up, you will have access to both levels.- Absolute Beginners--For people who have NEVER played the fiddle before (We start from the absolute beginning and it is assumed you know nothing about playing the violin or fiddle.
- Intermediate -- This is for people who know their way around their instrument. Pick your favorite genre (Celtic? Romany? Old Time?...) and find a tune you love. Print out the sheet music with fingerings and watch your in depth lesson video. Then, practice with the instructors at a slowed down pace until you work up to the performance level video. If you want more, there is an option for LIVE instruction several times a month!
