Hi! I'm Laurel Morgan.
For more than a decade, I've had the privilege of helping adults discover that it's never too late to play the violin. I believe anyone - whether they're picking up an instrument for the first time or returning after years away - can learn with the right guidance and supportive community.Ā
Before starting Drunken Fiddles, I built a career as a professional violinist, performing with artists including the Eagles, Sarah McLachlan, Josh Groban, Evanescence, Disturbed, and Amy Grant, as well as orchestras and festivals around the world. But my greatest joy isn't performing - it's watching a beginner play their first tune with confidence.
Drunken Fiddles began in 2015 when I invited five adults into my living room for a fiddle class. That little experiment grew into a community of hundreds of adult musicians learning, laughing, and making music together across the Midwest and online.Ā

Celebrate the winter season with these concert-ready arrangements influenced by a variety of folk traditions such as Celtic, old-time, bluegrass and Scandinavian fiddle. This collection of time-honored and original melodies is written with a modern string crossover twist to keep both the listener and performer engaged. All tunes are arranged by the Wires String Duo, including their original piece āCampbell Streetā.Ā The audio is a stereo recording of each of the arrangement.
The Wires Duo
The Wires are a modern exploration in string sound. Created in Kansas City, Missouri, Laurel Morgan, violin, and Sascha Groschang, cello, have been composing dynamic and cinematic music as best friends since 2009. Their music is inspired by imagery found in the natural world, folk styles and modern string techniques.
