Founder Laurel Morgan leverages her vast experience in classical violin, fiddling, composing, and improvisation to empower students of all skill levels, whether they’re dusting off an old instrument or starting from scratch.

Sign-up to attend one of our many specialized online intensives and retreats, designed to expand and enhance your playing! We travel abroad, dive deep into various genres, and try to provide unique ways for you to grow as a musician.
Our Approach
Drunken Fiddles was founded in 2015 by Laurel Morgan when she invited five adult students to her living room to learn how to play fiddle. Since then, hundreds of people have participated in her sessions - often learning how to play for the first time.
The Drunken Fiddles Method is simple: There are no wrong notes! Using the scaffolding approach, students of all skill levels are able to play together, layering melody and simple drones. Even more importantly, students are empowered to think beyond the rigid structure that's common in classical music and learn how to listen, be curious, and simply be willing to try.
